Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98

This album reaches the peak of what ambient music has the capacity to evoke. I don't think it's possible for an ambient project to create a more profoundly transcendental experience, or a more refined and deeply complex atmosphere. voidoctopus

The Sails is a sonic journey that takes the listener from the familiar to the alien and keeps your foot tapping the whole way. Rhythm is driven by layers of bass, synths and samples often without a drum track.
Give Still a listen, a glorious riot to take your ears on an adventure. Also, who else is writing 9 minutes long tracks any more?

Right away (well, by the three minute mark, at least) you'll notice an almost menacing intensity not usually present on a loscil album. Track two picks up the pace. Monument Builders feels like an outlier in loscil's catalogue, but still built on the same incredible level of quality and execution, it also fits perfectly within it. rvss.eel
