Rhythm is driven by layers of bass, synths and samples often without a drum track. Give Still a listen, a glorious riot to take your ears on an adventure. I always end up saying the same things when I try to write about loscil. "Tense," "calm," "energy," "gentle," "goddamn amazing," etc. There is much familiarity to be found here from various pieces of his back catalogue, yet these four pieces still sound and feel new, and LUX Refractions is forward movement.
